Sickhouse is a playful art space, in Enschede, The Netherlands, exploring the transformations of our society through digital culture. Interactive art, films, games and music are presented in our physical and online spaces, through extraordinary events, exhibitions, screenings, festivals, let’s play, talks, meet up, research, parties... The interdisciplinary and participatory programs focus on play, experimentation and fiction as stimulators for discussions, connections and empathy. The participating artists and makers are explorers of virtual technologies, using gaming, films, mapping, 3D environment, social media… as their medium.
